Mikki and I were talking a week or two before Vegas, and this never came to fruition, but I want to see who would be interested.

I'd like to start a quilt block swap with framers who are quilters.

If we can get some quilters interested, we'd all make one quilt block design that says something about us, or our favorite block and make as many of that block as we get people signed up.
We decide on a date, maybe in July where we mail our block to the people who signed up.
Then bring to Vegas or show off our finished top (or finished quilt) end of January.

So, Mikki and I are in.

Who else?

OK girls (and maybe any guy quilters out there) I have sat here and debated about doing the block swap thingymabobber. To date, I have only made 2 quilts and never participated in a block swap. You will need to tell me the size and whatever else is important for participation. A true confession here, I am the co-chair for the board of the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, the largest outdoor quilt show in the world....count me in!

And also...at this stage in the game, I would much rather follow a thread called "Sew the Quilt" than "Row the Boat"

Okay, if Greg is tempted...I give.

Have been reluctant to quilt as I do so many other forms of needlework and the PhDs are piling up (projects half done).

But, it does sound like fun. Count me in.

Count me in too. Nit a quilter, but fabric and needles don't scare me.

I suggest a PPFA color theme because we are that. Purple/Blue .... shades of. PPFA?

PPFA purple is good. Also, the lime green that has been introduced to the newer logo would be a nice accent! Then neutrals like White, Black, Greys.

What do you think?

I think 8" blocks would be nice. Thoughts on that?
Do you wish to make up your own block or have a block assigned to you?

I have so far:
Sarah
Mikki
Ellen
Linda P
Myrna
Jini
Cathy
Possibly Greg? (or were you pulling our leg?)

I'm going to ask to post on FB to see if we can get any other's to join.

They are flies not lures. You tie them from fur & feathers usually on a vise not much bigger than your thumb. Fly fishing usually involves being in the water, in my case the surf or more frequently fast running mountain streams.

Sissies and spincasters use boats, but we don't have a smiley in waders. :sneakiness:
