Better hope Cathy is too busy to be reading this....

But this gives me an idea: What if there was a cookie competition attached to every chapter competition? I would get it line to judge that. And it would be a lot of fun. Can you imagine everybody lined up in Vegas to get one of those tiny samples of cookies?

I've already been to two, and another one this weekend...in my own chapter this time. (If we hadn't set the date so long ago, I would probably be going to FL!) But if you don't sell out and there ended up being space that last week, I might turn up. I have a commitment that weekend, but I keep hoping it will be cancelled!

Whats up Greg? I have been to four events this year!

and I am sure we will have better cookies than any other chapter :lie:

Parrish! You wanna scrap? I have another batch going in the oven soon. My cookies are even "By framer for Framers!" 4 events, good job on that, although I doubt you baked for any of 'em. AND none of those 4 are Frame Fest.

Better cookies! Grumble grumble grumble!:mmph:

Still love ya RP, but I will take ya out!

Cathy,

Fresh cookies in the oven?! Yummy!
Can you send a small tin of cookies as a door prize?
I didn't get to try any of yours at FrameFest but I heard they were wonderful. :thumb:

Uh-oh.

Randy, I know you were kidding, but you might wanna not challenge the Chickster on this. Yours may be good, but I've had the pleasure of Cathy's cookies and agree with the others about their excellence.

May I suggest selecting another specialty for our chapter? Bagels, English muffins, scones, pizza, locally-made confections...anything but cookies.

Or, if you don't care to back down, maybe the framing competition in Las Vegas could be followed by an unofficial PPFA cookie competition. If that idea appeals, put me on the judges' list.:peace:

LOL seems everyone wants to be judging, but not baking????? Shame on you guys!!! Get baking. Cookies I mean

Be careful what you wish for, Ylva. I have a long cookie-baking history. When I was three, my six-year-old sister Toni showed me how to do it. It's been more than half-a century, but I still remember the recipe:

-Water from the dog's dish

-Dirt from the living room flower pots

-Hershey bar bits from under the high-chair after snack time

-Peanuts from between the sofa cushions

-Combine all ingredients in the dog's dish

-Roll the "dough" into little balls

-Smash the cookie balls on the flatbed of my Tonka Truck and drive it to the back door

-Arrange the cookies neatly on the concrete back porch to "bake" in the afternoon sun for about two hours

Of course our cookies didn't taste as good as mom's and they made Toni a little sick, so we shared them with the kids in the neighborhood. About 25 years later when I became a dad, I began to wonder what mom was doing while Toni and I made cookies. I guess a kid's life was different in 1951.

You may not want me to enter my cookies. They'd taste terrible if I'd try to make them without Toni's help and to be honest, I wouldn't want to compete with Cathy or Randy anyway.
