New Website Is Up

Nice, fresh look. :thumb: It took a long time to load! If you don't know what the menu button is, you might miss the menu. I see another menu way below the fold, way at the bottom, but it could be missed. Just my immediate impression. Nice!

I see the logo, but it is HUGE. (1803x1053)

Re-saving it to actual display size will speed up the site a bit. It may have timed out while she was loading it up, resulting in the x. If it was a situation where she is on wifi, there may have been a timeout caused by a microwave oven (reception) or something of that sort.

The site looks great!

Ahh, ok, makes sense. I'm also thinking the main slide show may need the images to be a bit smaller too.

FYI, if you are on Windows XP, The version of Wordpress and stuff I used needs IE10, so it will look all botched up on IE8.

One more thing, Tatnuck is out of place under certification in the last line.

Is this in the About Us page?

Try resizing the window. Because the site is "responsive" (works on different size screens like phones) words sometimes get formatted into weird places.

I'm also discovering that not all the images got moved exactly right and there are some pointers back to the server where it was developed. That is causing some of our slowdown.

Great job Cliff!

I agree that using smaller images should speed up the loading time. At the moment it does take a long time.

I also had my website redone, in Wordpress. Very happy with the results.

Congrats and love the look of your site.

Well, I've done most of the "cleanup." Links broken or pointing back to the development area were causing a lot of the slowdown.
It's not done yet and I need to make some passes at shrinking some of the images, but I think it's solid and "self consistent." (ie. everything seems to work the way I intended.)

Found a couple more typos and some "not quite right" sentences, but they're fixed.

I had planned on more images in and about the text, but wanted to pull the trigger and get my old outdated site down.

This one is expected to work better on tablets and phones without any special or additional programming.

I know it doesn't work on XP (Wordpress limitation), but other than that, let me know if you see anything amiss.

Thanks!

I like the design of your site, Cliff. It's easy to navigate and the layout is great.

The 8000 miles distance might be to blame, but it's still very slow from here. 20 seconds until anything appears and some pages take that long to appear too. Some pages only 6 to 8 seconds.

On the Special page/Jersey Framing description, the last sentence sounds a little odd. Maybe it's just me? - "Your garment will be properly taken care of and ready to hang."

Yes Cliff, that looks classy.
It took 1/2 minute for me to open your website. They are laying ultrafast broadband cables in my town and after that has been completed, your website may load up faster.
Can Amanda's cat Tofu be found in your shop and is she a vegetarian cat too?
I have been looking for some recipes containing rabbits since Easter is dawning upon us. I am hoping to catch one of these pests in my garden before they can deposit their eggs. (April fools)
