Just want to let everyone know that if you get a e-mail from someone you know that has their name in the subject box as well as the one who sent the e-mail, do not open it. Nothing will happen if you open it, but there is a address attached to it that is a virus. Linda Wassell probably doesn't know it, but she sent it to me along with to a lot of other members. I received it from a friend last week and when I opened the attachment, my virus protection latched on to it an deleted before it could do any damage and then I did a full scan to make sure there were no other problems.

I received the spam link as well, and emailed Linda area today. I advised her to change the pw, ASAP.

Someone hacked her yahoo email account and sent out the link to everyone in her contact list. This happens VERY often with Yahoo and Hotmail accounts, unfortunately.

They must be getting into the address books of a lot of people. When my friend sent the e-mail to me it then showed up in my own e-mail as if I sent something to myself. My own name was on the subject line and I know that I didn't send anything out.

Pat and all, sorry that you received that virus scare. Hope that no one opened it!
:yuck:
I did get the password changes with the help of Mike--thanks for letting me know!!

Linda, no harm done here. I had already seen it the week before and I did open the attachment then. When I did my anti virus program kicked in and got rid of it. That's why I recognized it. Your name was on the subject line and as the one who sent it. These hackers are really out it force these days and no matter how hard you try, they seem to find a way in.
