Corner Cafe Dinner or Breakfast?

I was thinking breakfast, but I'm in for a dinner if you'd rather.
What did you have in mind?

Right now I think I'm booked sat, sun (reception, so still could do dinner afterward?) and tues, people go home wed - Monday's free.

?

I think breakfast would make the most sense. :) Most of us probably have dance cards that are full in the evenings.

Perhaps a couple hours before the trade show opens, so everyone can still come and/or have time to get to their early classes after breakfast. (or to prepare booth to be opened)

I'm interested :)

Oh, so the non-denominational Chinese Dinner on Tuesday isn't enough for you ? :)

Just to be sure, it is NOT a "Grumbler's" dinner and all are welcome!

Invite

Dear Rob, Are your feelings hurt, too?? It wasn't like they invited EVERY ONE was it? I'm having flash backs of high school, not sitting with the cool kids. It's OK we'll just have to make do on our own. Rob, let's start our own "cool table."???

Since the trade show opens at 11:00 on Monday and Tuesday, how about coffee/brunch one of those days? I know some people will have classes in the morning, but not matter what time we get together there are going to be conflicts.

Good Grief! I just looked at my calendar ... barring someone saving me (I volunteered "if they couldn't get someone else") I have to help out with the MCPF evals on Monday, and we have a board meeting at 8 on Tuesday.

Sunday morning? Or, just schedule without me :(

How many are up for Sunday morning? We would hate to do it without Cliff.

I'm taking Jim's Shadowbox class at 9am, and I guess he may want to get there a 'few' minutes early.

On the other hand, almost all of us are going to be fresh from the Eastern US. I dunno about you, but I will be up at 3am (6am Eastern) until I adjust, just in time to go back. While that might be a wee bit early, I would think a 7am breakfast would not be too uncivilized.... Rob, of course you will be in real time but you don't strike me as the sort to sleep in, as full of energy as you are.

I would NEVER ask anyone to miss The Sacred Tuesday Limo Affair, so that day is automatically blocked out.

Well crap, I forgot about the board meeting. I guess it's Sunday breakfast with a mimosa or two.

It's so nice not to have to write "carp".

I could probably do that time too. I have to work all day Sat and Sunday assembling a booth and configuring computers, but probably not till 9am.

Like you, my internal alarm clock will probably wake me up at 3am (thinking it is 6am my regular time)

Mike

I will see you at 7:00 on Sunday. In the morning.

Unless anyone else has some good ideas, how about in the main restaurant in the hotel. I'm assuming they are open at 7:00 am. I don't know the name of the place. But if anyone has any good ideas other than that one, lets consider!

yeah Russ, which hotel?

I'm thinking the buffet at the Mirage allthough on the high side for a quick breakfast might be the easiest.
Unless you want ot do something like Denny's next door to Harrah's?

Did anyone try the buffet at Harrah's? Maybe we should give that a shot this year?

I am fine with either one.

Last year a group of us did the Mirage buffet just about every morning, and it was OK. On the high side for sure. Sundays I believe it is a bit more, because it includes prime rib and seafood.

I'm staying at the Mirage so I will probably be having the buffet several times, and if it is even more pricy on Sunday, then Denny's is okay. There is a definite difference between all I can eat and all I should eat.

Looking at Google maps, it appears that Denny's is across the street from the Mirage Volcano. I will need to walk from the Mirage. How much time should I allow for an old man like me? A Las Vegas block is longer than regular blocks, so I can't tell from the map.

OK. Let's do it this way: If more of us are staying at Mirage, then we will meet at Mirage's buffet breakfast. If more are staying at Harrah's, we'll eat at Denney's.

I am at Harrah's.

I am at Harrah's. Russ is at Mirage. I'm guessing most of the rest are at Mirage...
