I am a newbie and rookie framer. I just purchased the assets of a shop in Salem OH and am planning to go live in 2025. My wife and I are planning to go to the event in Las Vegas.

1. Any tips for the event (for a rookie).
2. I messaged the instagram account for PPFA to see if there is a Houston, TX Chapter. Any info on a Houston group?

Hi Charles!

Welcome to Custom Picture Framing! You are starting off right by attending WCAF Expo.

Tips:
Pace yourself
Make time to visit the trade show and meet your vendors, check out their products and find new things for your shop
Attend all 3 days! I come in the day before so I am ready for the event. Classes start on Friday and run all 3 days so if you skip Friday you will miss some good information
Take a class just for fun, something you are interested in but may not be familiar with
Take a class to help answer a question you may have about a process or technique
Attend the events!
Make time to network outside show and event times. Many people will meet up and go have a drink or go to dinner in smaller groups to get to know each other or catch up
And do not fill your schedule so full you can't enjoy yourself.
Make plans to attend future events

As to Houston, There is a Central Texas PPFA Chapter. Sorry I missed your message. If you email info@ppfa.com you will get a reply

If you have not yet Joined PPFA be sure to check into membership www.PPFA.com/membership and if you have questions email info@ppfa.com
